  i guess it's about time i write my story.

  i've put this off for a long time... primarily becuase, while i thought my story was bad, i've read so many worse and heart-rending stories here.

  i think, though, there is some therapeutic value in 'letting it all out' with others who know what 'it' was like.

  I just finished reading part 2...I'm not sure I can endure part 3.

  I'm so sorry for your pain!!! If I had anything helpful to say to you I would. I haven't figured that out yet.

  Thanks so much for sharing with us, this must have been painful for you to re-tell the story!

  I couldn't help but cry while I read your story, b/c this brings me back to such unpleasant memories of my childhood. I can't tell my story in full detail to this day...

  an ex-jw has killed herself in the parking lot of a kingdown hall.

  after an investigation of the police, they have found that at the age of 15, she has suffer of sexual abuse by a jw from 1986 to 1989. this man could face a trial and 5 other witness for non denonciation of the crime to the police.. http://tempsreel.nouvelobs.com/depeches/societe/20080110.fap9581/un_temoin_de_jehovah_mis_en_examen_pour_viol_sur_mineur.html.

  Do Most Witnesses know about UN SCANDAL?

  it seems to me that most witnesses still don't know about the un scandal.

  since it has been such a useful tool in helping people see the truth about the lying duplicity of the watchtower, how can we get this message out to more in the organization?

  I guarantee my family doesn't know about it. If they have gotten wind of it somehow, they would have just refused to see it for what it really is...they have an excuse for everything.

  Also too, they wouldn't investigate it b/c

  a) they don't have internet to look into the matter further b/c the society cautions against it and,

  b) b/c that would be reading apostate literature to them.

  Since I have been shunned, I have no idea how to let them know!! Not that they would see it for what it really is anyways...

  So we go see the family...

  we went to see the inlaws after their unexpectadly long vacation because fil ended up getting sick and kept them there about a month.

  all was fine till "brothers" started showing up.

  one showed up and didn't acknowledge my hubby, much less me.

  Confidential Body of Elder Letters from 1981 through 2006

  here it is guys.

  this is what darth frosty was talking about in his post the other day (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/149460/1.ashx).

  this is a collection of confidential letters from the watchtower society that were sent to the bodies of elders in the years 1981 through 2006. these are the letters that you were never meant to see or read.. there's all sorts of information in them ranging from the boring and mundian to instructions about how to handle child molesters.. many thanks to darth frosty and others (who i'm not sure can be named) who worked very hard and took risks to collect and scan the information.

  here's a paragraph from a friend who is active.

  they say it's important that we fill out this form about emergencies... poor fools.

  "hi, i have been meaning to tell you that the society is telling us to fill out an emergency form that the book study conductors have and return it to them in case of an emergency.they will then give us a brochure to have that will tell us where to meet and what to have in our bags so we can grab them and leave in a hurry.

  That makes me angry! They are just so brainwashed! One more thing they put into place to make people think the end is right around the corner...the ones that are loosing faith or becoming more lax in their worship may be whipped into a frenzy once again. Rubbish!!

  I always wondered why my wife's best friends left the religion

  my wife's maid of honor at our wedding- married a worldly guy and left the religion .

  after years of pioneer service.. my wife's former best friend from her single days as a teen- grew up to leave the .

  religion entirely, came back for a brief stint, left again.. my wife's most current former best friend- is now a fringe jw, as she has been .

  Keep on hoping!!

  The first scenario about your wife's best friend leaving and marrying a worldly guy after years of pioneer service, sounds exactly like me! I had to check to see where you were from...Anyhow, if I left, anyone can leave. I was a very devout JW who never thought I would leave, and no one else could believe it either. You just never know. Don't give up hope!
